Twitter has now become more of a trolling social media than it’s actual purpose. People take pleasure in trolling celebrities on their real accounts. Most of the times, people forget who their target is and end up making a fool out of themselves. Same happened in Snapchat-Snapdeal case when people started deleting Snapdeal (which is a leading e-commerce app) instead of Snapchat.
#BoycottSnapchat was trending on Twitter because of the remarks of the CEO of Snapchat, Evan Spiegel which said, “This app is only for rich people. I don’t want to expand into poor countries like India and Spain.” He made these remarks back in 2015 but somehow they came out in public this week. This statement outraged whole India and as a result most of them ended up deleting SNAPDEAL app, instead of SNAPCHAT. Sometimes, patriotism just go out of control and people really can’t handle it. In a single day, the ratings of Snapdeal and Snapchat went from 5 to 1, in India. Poor Snapdeal had to face the consequences of his twin brother. Typical Indian overreacted and poor e-commerce company had to bear the losses.
Thousands of Indians lashed out at Snapchat and uninstalled Snapdeal and became a laughing stock ib Twitter.

People started comparing Arbaaz Khan to Roger Federer
Boycotting Snapdeal instead of Snapchat is the equivalent of slapping Arbaaz Khan because you’re angry with Roger Federer.
