Lahoris, you might have noticed from the increased number of fights on the roads and the ‘Upto 100% Sale’ banners outside shops that summer has officially arrived. For us, the transition is more drastic than in other cities, and the change in season brings along with it certain things that we just adore. Here are 14 of them:
No more having peanuts, cashews and other delicious and healthy dryfruits. Shukar!
Thank God we don’t have to get all cozy in our blankets anymore. Sweaty and in our chadar is how we like to sleep.
Who needs only an hour of loadshedding throughout the whole day in winters, when you can have loadshedding all night in the summers?
The beautiful and pleasant weather of the winters is for losers – We like to be sunstroked and burned in the blazing heat baby!
We will finally get to sleep in the artificial winds of the A/C, rather than the relaxing spring-winter nights of the previous months.
Out go the stylish sweaters and jacket, and in come the lousy t-shirts, and boring rolled up sleeves. Yaaaayyy!
We just love to wait for the Chai/Coffee to get cold, rather than having it fresh and right away.
What a sight it is to see a Chipkali right above your head on the ceiling when you’re in bed. The deepest sleep of the year, that one!
What is the use of perfume patches on clothes when you can have equally pleasant smelling sweat patches all over?! All natural, too!
The sound of transformer phatna in the middle of the night makes for the best of days on the morning after!
We will be able to get greater Sawaab in the forthcoming Rozay.
We just love filling ourselves with countless Botals. Screw bloated tummies and health risks!
The sweet beeping of the UPS you hear when it is at its dying stages. Music to the ears!
We will now go to EMPORIUM and PACKAGES MALL for their true purpose of being built – FREE A/C.
Lets face it. We all hate Lahori summers! Winter, please come back.. please.
